At MULE, looking after our customers includes looking after their personal information. This notice explains how we use information when you shop with us, book work on your bike, visit our website or contact our team.

Information we collect

Depending on your dealings with us, we collect information such as:

  • Your name, email address, telephone number, and billing and delivery addresses.

  • Order details, transaction records and correspondence about purchases or returns.

  • Bike details, service history and information needed for repairs or warranty enquiries.

  • Any communication or marketing preferences you provide.

Our website and its service providers may also process technical information, such as your IP address, browser information and website activity.

How we use your information

We use your information to process orders, arrange delivery or collection, provide workshop services, answer enquiries and deal with returns or warranty matters.

Where this is necessary to fulfil an agreement with you, or take steps you request before entering an agreement, our lawful basis is performance of a contract.

We also retain information to meet legal obligations, including relevant accounting and tax requirements.

Where appropriate, we rely on our legitimate interests to administer and protect our business, prevent fraud, maintain customer service records and resolve disputes. We consider your rights and interests when doing so.

Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Emails and text messages

We may contact you about your order, collection, delivery, workshop booking or an enquiry. These communications help us provide the service you have requested.

We may also offer promotional emails and, in future, promotional text messages. We will only send these where you have given the relevant consent or where the law permits marketing about our similar products and services and the required opt-out opportunities have been provided.

You can stop promotional messages by following the opt-out instructions in the message or contacting us. Choosing not to receive marketing does not prevent you from shopping with MULE or receiving necessary service updates.

Sharing your information

We share relevant information with organisations where necessary to provide our services or meet legal obligations. These may include:

  • Citrus-Lime, which provides our ecommerce and retail systems.

  • Payment providers and finance providers where you choose those services.

  • Delivery companies.

  • Manufacturers and distributors assisting with repairs or warranty matters.

Keeping your information

Customer and transaction information is held within our business systems, including Citrus-Lime.

We are reviewing our retention arrangements and have not yet established a routine deletion schedule. Our review will take account of accounting and legal requirements, ongoing orders, servicing and warranty support, and the need to resolve complaints or claims.

You can contact us to ask about information we hold or request its deletion. Some records may need to be retained where there is a legal requirement or another valid reason.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you have rights to:

  • Access your personal information.
