Returns and aftercare

Need help with a purchase? Email mule.cycles@gmail.com or call 01691 590361, quoting your order number.

Changing your mind about an online purchase

For most goods bought online, by phone or by mail, you can cancel without giving a reason. Tell us within 14 calendar days after the day you receive the goods. For an order delivered in separate parts, the period normally starts after the last item arrives. Then send the goods back within 14 days of telling us. Email, phone or write to us with a clear statement that you wish to cancel. You can use our cancellation form, but do not have to.

Return costs and packing

You pay the direct return cost if you change your mind. Bike return shipping usually starts at around £40. This is an indicative starting cost, not a fixed fee or maximum: the actual cost depends on the bike, packing, destination and collection service. Contact us before buying if you need a return-cost estimate for your bike and postcode. We will confirm any collection charge with you before arranging it. Pack goods securely; ask us about suitable arrangements for complete bikes and batteries.

Inspecting goods and refunds

You may inspect goods as you would in a shop. Opening packaging does not automatically remove your cancellation right. Handling beyond what is needed to establish the goods’ nature, characteristics and functioning may reduce their value, and we may make a corresponding deduction where legally permitted. We do not charge a restocking fee for a statutory cancellation.

What we refund

For a valid change-of-mind cancellation, we refund the purchase price and the cost of our least expensive standard outward delivery, where applicable. The extra cost of an optional upgraded delivery service is not refunded. Free standard delivery is not retrospectively charged. Refunds use the original payment method unless agreed otherwise. We refund without undue delay and within 14 days after receiving the goods back or evidence of posting, whichever is earlier.

Special orders, custom goods and second-hand bikes

Special-order status alone does not remove cancellation rights. Genuinely made-to-specification or clearly personalised goods may be exempt; we will explain any applicable exception before you order. Choosing from standard stock options does not automatically make a bike exempt. Second-hand and sale goods retain applicable cancellation and faulty-goods rights.

Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods

Contact us promptly and we will help. Where the legal conditions are met, you normally have a 30-day right to reject faulty goods for a refund, without being required to accept a repair first. Rights after that depend on the circumstances and may include repair, replacement, price reduction or rejection. We cover reasonable return costs where the law requires. If our delivery service loses or damages your goods before you receive them, contact MULE; you do not have to resolve the claim directly with our courier.

Shop purchases, warranties and earlier orders

Shop purchases have no automatic change-of-mind return right; please ask before buying about any agreed arrangement. Faulty-goods rights still apply. Manufacturer warranties are additional to your statutory rights and do not replace them. For purchases made under an earlier MULE returns policy, we will honour the terms agreed when you ordered.

How to return an item

Send returns to MULE Cycles, Salop Road, Oswestry, Shropshire, SY11 2NR. Include your name and order number so we can identify your purchase. A reason is helpful for faulty-goods enquiries but is not required for a change-of-mind cancellation.

Download the returns and cancellation form.

Model cancellation form

Complete and return this form only if you wish to cancel your contract. Using it is optional; any clear cancellation statement is sufficient.

Ridley Grifn Rival XPLR Gravel Bike in Battle Ship Grey

Brand:Ridley

Code:GRC02AsSramRivalXPLR1x13

The Grifn is the all-road bike designed for riders seeking a single bike capable of handling competitive rides on smooth asphalt and commuting on crisp gravel paths.

In the design, the speed of a road bike is combined with the comfort of a gravel bike. With a maximum tire clearance of 38mm (40mm with 1x drivetrain), you'll have traction on country roads, while 32mm allows you to assert your place in the peloton. Additionally, it is possible to connect fenders and a dynamo to the bike, ensuring you can go anywhere even in bad or dark weather.

The name Grifn refers to the mythical creature griffin, a mythological creature symbolizing dominion over heaven and earth. Therefore, the Grifn reigns over both asphalt and gravel. The geometry is tailored to the riding behavior that best suits the intended use of the bike and the terrain. There is ample comfort for long distances, and the bike is aggressive enough for competitive Gran Fondos.

In short, the Grifn essentially breaks the N+1 rule of bike ownership.

Features:

  • 11 mounting points for a 100% personalised setup. With three mounting points on and under the down tube and three mounting points on the seat tube, you can fully determine the position of your bottle cages and frame bag. You also have two mounting points on the top tube for an extra bag or toolkit, which can be cleverly hidden under a handy cover.
  • Two worlds, one bike: With the Grifn family, you can hit the road as well as the off-road. You simply change wheelsets and do a gran fondo gravel on Saturday and hit the road the day after with the regular cycling club.
  • The maximum tire clearance of the Grifn is 40 millimetres in a 1x setup and 38 millimetres with a 2x setup. This is a deliberate choice for a width sufficient to handle the vast majority of dirt roads. You can also opt for extra-wide tyres on the road, which provides a surplus of comfort and makes the Grifn ideal for long days in the saddle.
  • All-road geometry: The geometry of the Ridley Grifn is the superb overlap of a stiff racing- and a tolerant off-road frame. The goal is a reactive and nimble riding feel while keeping a stable handling on off-road terrain. The head tube angle of the Grifn is slightly flatter than the head tube angle of a road bike, but sharper compared to a gravel bike. This results in a completely new geometry, specifically designed for the all-road segment.
  • Special mudguards for the Grifn: Product developers designed specific mudguards for the Grifn. You can order these and have them installed at your local dealer, making the Grifn fully suitable for commuting in all weather conditions.
  • Integrated cable routing rear light: The frame offers the possibility to route the cable for a rear light internally inside the top tube where it will exit near the seattube. These cable ports are nicely hidden so when not using them, you will hardly notice them on your frame.
  • Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH): This derailleur hanger is compatible with all modern shifting groups and protects against derailleur breakage and chain drops. Ridley is bringing this technology to other segments as well.
  • Internal Dynamo Routing: The fork is equipped with internal cable routing for a dynamo hub. The cable is nicely hidden inside the forkleg, eliminating the hassle of guiding the cable from the dynamo hub to the front light.
